You say I’m missing out on a life time of fun

But I’m practicing restraint so I don’t loose control 

It’s not that I don’t want let loose and get down

I’m just trying to my flighty mind on the ground 

Say I’m selfish say I’m so insane

Call me naive call me out my name

I’m just the only one I’ve ever known

To be responsible for me

You’re quick to ridicule me and fill me with doubt 

How I’m failing everyone especially myself 

You don’t understand what seems simple to you 

Requires me to evolve quickly to get by

I’m always trying to keep it together 

No one else is doing it for me
