As I open up my eyes

I see the world as something new and different

And when I close my eyes

I wonder if I’ll see that way again

The lights come on

Slowly radiating

Strangely I

Feel energized

Not only awake

But highly aware

Curious of

Thinks I’ve never seen

The sun comes up

Filling the room

Filling me

With more curiosity

I look now

For answers to questions
I never thought
I knew before

Everything in my soul

Is blooming like a rain fresh flower

Everything in my mind

Opens up to brand new options for me

Everything in front of me

I look at now in a different way
I feel as if

I have just been born

I venture out

Into this new found world

Looking for

New experiences

I edge closer

To more unknowns

Questioning

Everything I’ve ever known

Boundaries

Shatter in front of me

My whole life

Starts anew

Everything in my soul
