Questioning Answers

Questioning answers they say are true
I can’t help but call bullshit
My gut says it’s all wrong
And my instinct is always right

“Everything’s fine, don’t worry”
They say just to make me feel at ease
Excuse me if I’m weary
“Your fear will make you sorry”
What in me is that suppose to please
Forgive me if I’m wary

Intuition is trumping your words
The red flags are everywhere, I’m

Questioning answers they say are true
People lie to get their way
What’s in your “truth” for me
Or will it leave me for the worst

Forget you and me for now
So what about us, the human race
And aren’t all souls still sacred?
You could be right here but how?
Your ideal truth I rather not face
But aren’t ALL souls still sacred?

Intuition is trumping your words
The red flags are everywhere, I’m

Questioning answers they say are true
Nothings true on face value
When you accept the lie
Presented you are complicit
