The night is dark

The sun is warm 

These are simple things 

Your vacant head can’t comprehend 

I need you to know

You aren’t the first 

You won’t be the last 

But right now.   Here and now

You’re what matters

I don’t think to the future 

I don’t dream of the past.  

All I want is right now 

Get it through your thick head. 

Is right now. 

Keeping it simple. 

Can you manage?

The light is bright 

And ice is cold

You’d lie and say do not exist

Thank god you’re the past
