I’ve come so far

Addiction is a lonely road

But here I am with one less monkey on my back. 

I miss having you around 

Sometimes I crave your presence 

But is it you or the addiction holding on 

I want to still be your friend 

You’re nothing but good to me

Maybe it’s best if we are apart 

As if we had never had start 

This lonely road 

Has taught me much about myself 

And here I am one day better than yesterday. 

I miss how we intertwined 

How we played off our worst selves 

But that is my worst self missing reconnaissance
