I Know It

Do you know what it’s like to have something

So close you can see it but you can’t touch it

To breathe in the air of it but never taste sweetness

Or the bitterness of blandness it could bring.

So close and so far away

It’s a feeling without knowing

I know it

My fingers aches for it

My tongue salivates

My ears anticipate

My soul only craves it

My heart palpitates

My mind can relate

My self only craves it.

Have you ever dreamt of hearing  your dreams

And waking up and wishing that it was real

To connect so deep with a fantasy you want to

Manifest it into being, breathing, real

The lies and every last truth

It’s a numb moment eternal.

I know it

My fingers aches for it

My tongue salivates

My ears anticipate

My soul only craves it

My heart palpitates

My mind can relate

My self only craves it.

Of my senses

Touch and taste

Sense sight smell

I’m vacant inside

I know it

I deny but I accept

The void of my senses tells me

I know it

My fingers aches for it

My tongue salivates

My ears anticipate

My soul only craves it

My heart palpitates

My mind can relate

My self only craves it.

A nobody

A heartless vessel

A void of my self.

I know it.
